COMAC Increases C919 Production Target

➡️ Chinese manufacturer COMAC has raised its 2025 production goal for the narrow-body C919 passenger jet by 50%, aiming to produce 100 aircraft annually. The target for 2029 is to reach 200 aircraft per year.

➡️ Developed as a competitor to the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX, the C919 has received over 300 orders so far, mainly from China’s three largest airlines.

➡️ Although about 60% of its components are still sourced from the West, COMAC plans to shift to full domestic production by 2030. Aiming for EASA certification, the company continues to promote the C919 in Europe and plans to enter the long-haul market with its wide-body C929 and C939 projects.
